Hello dear boys,

last Thursday you did a lot of things... I hope you enjoy the classes although I make you work very hard. We revised prepositions and places in town, and played with a map showing different places. Then we worked with some listening activities and you did well.

After that we revised the present continuous tense in the three forms (I am eating; I am not eating; Am I eating?). It was ok.

And to finish the class we started talking about jobs. This activity will be finished next day as we couldn't last Thursday; but we described some jobs and learnt new words.

Remember that next Thursday you have to take something delicious to eat.... I know you'll do your best! You have to prepare your favourite dish and tell the class about the ingredients, steps you have to follow... these things. It's going to be great!

Hello boys,

I'd like to say that I'm pleased to meet you and I hope you behave at least as right as last Thursday. We had fun and laughed a lot!!

In our first session we revised prepositions and we worked with a map to describe our street, talking about your house, your school, even your routines at the weekend. Great work. You drew your own map and presented your topic right good in front of the whole class, congratulations. Next day you will speak again without handout!

After that you listened to St. Patrick's story, next Monday, 17th we celebrate, as I told you, and we had fun learning new vocabulary thanks to a wordsearch.

Hi boys!

First of all I have to say that your behaviour during our last lesson was much better than last week's although you should still improve it a bit and be more attentive to the teacher's explanations.

Carlos, Bruno, Adrian F and Adrian E. brought their projects and got points. Jorge and Victor brought a notebook page so they have to write it in a clean folio and hand it in next Thursday.

We learnt/revised the prepositions of place: in front of, behind, opposite, between, in, on, next to...
we also worked on the Trinity exam doing some listening and speaking activities about people´s physical appearance. You made a big effort trying to describe how your classmates look like.

WEEK 6

Dear boys,

Your behaviour during our last lesson was terrible, I am very upset and I am sure it will change for our next class.

Last week we continued learning the opposite of adjectives with the domino game. We had to match tiles with pairs like

ugly- beautiful

dark-light

empty-full

After this practice we played a ball game in order to remember them, it was great fun.

We also learnt new vocabulary about jobs such as shop assistant, mechanic, architect, farmer...

and saw the difference between the word for men and women doing the same job ex. policeman-policewoman fireman-firewoman.

We did some oral practice for the Trinity grade 3 exam and also completed some listening tasks.

HOMEWORK

I explained how you should do your project. This project must be handed in on 20th February. Please do not forget! The title should be MY TOWN

In the project you have to write 50 words about your town or city.

Ex. In my town there is a stadium and one train station, there isn't and airport but there are a lot of parks. It is a modern and beautiful place. There are twelve schools and nine high schools...

Hello boys,

How are you since the last lesson?
Last Thursday we learnt to speak about our town. We learnt how to say gas station, park, library,police station... and to describe it.

We can now say, In Leganés there are four metro stations, but there isn't an airport.

We did a quiz about the different body parts. Congratulations, you all got fantastic puctuations.

Dear students,

During our third lesson we revised the use of the Present Continuous tense. We did the speaking activities from lesson 5 of the Trinity preparation book grade 3.

We learnt and checked the different parts of the body and played two games to memorize the most difficult.

We also watched a short video and answered some easy comprehension questions about it.

HI kids!

Last week Sergio a new student joined our class. WELCOME!

We practised the present continuous tense with a mimic game and after the break we filled a worksheet about the same topic. We also play other games such as Hot potatoe and guess Who am I.
We did some speaking and you told the class about your holidays and about the presents you got from Father Christmas and the Three wise men.
